1st Reaction MMA

1st Reaction MMA, which also trades as 1st Reaction Academy, is an independent mixed martial arts gym in a unit on Phillips Street in Aston, Birmingham. Its programme covers the main parts of MMA: Thai boxing, including pad work and sparring sessions, wrestling, Brazilian jiu-jitsu and full MMA classes for adults and teenagers. It also runs a large junior section, with MMA classes split by age from young children up to an advanced group for teenagers, and has offered a ladies-only boxing fitness class. The gym has an active fight team whose members compete on regional MMA shows such as Cage Rage MMA Promotions, and it has hosted interclub events with other local gyms. It presents itself as a family-style club open to newcomers and experienced fighters alike.
