Armstrong Academy of Martial Arts is a family-focused academy that has served Chatham-Kent, Ontario since 2009. It is an official GFTeam Brazilian Jiu Jitsu affiliate, teaching gi and no-gi BJJ to adults, teens and children from age four, alongside kickboxing and MMA. The head instructor is a third-degree black belt and IBJJF medalist, and the academy fields a competition team, although competing is optional and beginners are welcome. The 3,000 sq ft facility has two mat areas and a weight room, and a waiting room where parents can watch live streaming of the training. Private lessons, open mats, open sparring sessions and seminars round out the programme, and the academy is registered with the local All for Kids program.
