Brixton Krav Maga is South London's first UK club in the European Federation of Krav Maga (FEKM), teaching since 2015 from a church hall in Brixton Hill. It focuses on practical, non-competitive self-defence built around real-life scenarios. Adult sessions, open to all levels from the mid-teens upwards, cover striking and defences against kicks and punches, weapons defence, scenario training and a dedicated sparring class. A separate Kids Krav programme welcomes children before they move up to the adult classes, with regular gradings through a belt syllabus. Newcomers begin with a short introductory course that needs no prior experience or fitness. The instructors are senior FEKM-UK black belts, including the sector's founder and technical director, and the club also runs instructor development and a second Saturday branch in West Norwood.
