Champs Academy Barrie is a family-oriented martial arts academy in Barrie, Ontario. Its Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu hall runs structured programs for young children, juniors, teens and adults, with both gi and no-gi training. Kids follow the IBJJF graduation system, and there are dedicated competition classes for those who want to compete. Adults can start with no prior experience. The coaching staff is led by a black belt head coach and includes several other black belts, and the academy is registered with the IBJJF. The club also teaches World Taekwondo at a separate hall in the city and puts a strong emphasis on life skills, leadership and community alongside technical training. A free trial class is available for newcomers.
