Elite is a long-established Edmonton martial arts school that grew from a Taekwondo club into a full Taekwondo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy under the same owner, Master Steve Bartley. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is taught in both gi and no-gi, with separate programmes for children, juniors and adults, a fundamentals track for newcomers, a women's programme, a competition team and open mats. Taekwondo covers young children through to adult black belts, including sparring and poomsae. The club has a large membership, a team of black belt instructors, is a registered IBJJF academy and displays Taekwondo Alberta and World Taekwondo affiliations. It also runs self-defence, seminars, a summer camp and birthday parties.
