Fit Club BJJ is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy in Fairfield, Connecticut, a short walk from the train station. The gym is led by two black belts and welcomes complete beginners as well as experienced grapplers. It runs gi and no-gi classes for adults, teens and children from age 3, along with a women's-only class, a kids' competition class and self-defense and combatives sessions. Regular open mats and a white-belt-only class give newer students extra mat time, and the academy hosts visiting-instructor seminars that are open to outside trainees. Memberships come with a welcome kit, and military and first responders get special rates. An upstairs lounge gives the community a place to gather, and new students can start with a free trial week.
