Kings MMA is a martial arts gym in Ringwood East, in Melbourne's outer east, founded by professional fighter and Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt Hoshi Friedrich. The gym teaches Brazilian jiu jitsu in both gi and no-gi, Thai kickboxing, MMA and freestyle wrestling, with an MMA fight team for people who want to compete. It also runs women's classes and a kids' jiu jitsu program for children from age five, split into age groups. Newcomers start with a free intro class and a personalised training plan, and beginners train alongside experienced fighters. The coaching team includes state and national level jiu jitsu competitors, and the academy is registered with the IBJJF.
