Solidarity MMA is a faith-based martial arts academy in Frisco, Texas, that also serves nearby Little Elm. It teaches Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in both gi and no-gi, kickboxing and MMA, with separate programs for young children, kids, and teens and adults. The head instructor is a BJJ black belt in the lineage that runs from Carlson Gracie through Ricardo de La Riva to Rafael 'Formiga' Barbosa, and the coaching team includes a black belt with a background in judo, sambo and military combatives. The academy describes a no-ego culture on the mats and welcomes complete beginners, with a free trial class for newcomers. Its youth students compete in BJJ tournaments, and weekly open mat sessions give older students extra time to train.
