Urban Fit & Fearless

Urban Fit & Fearless is a South London self-defence school teaching Urban Krav Maga, a reality-based system derived from Krav Maga with a strong grappling and ground-fighting component. Run by instructor Patrice Bonnafoux, it has operated in the area since 2012. Classes blend technique with interval-style conditioning, drills, pad work and ground work, and are mixed-ability with plenty of beginners and a roughly even split of men and women. Topics include situational awareness, strikes, escapes from grabs and chokes, defence against weapons and multiple attackers. Sessions take place in a Scout Hut, with small groups and a relaxed, pay-as-you-go approach rather than a membership. Private tuition, corporate training, women's self-defence and special workshops are also available.
