Jin Sei Ryu Karate-do UK

Jin Sei Ryu Karate-do UK is the official UK branch of the Sydney-based Jin Sei Ryu Karate-do International organisation. It teaches traditional budo karate, described as full-contact Japanese karate, with kihon, partner drills, kata, meditation and kumite, alongside an introduction to kobudo weapons work. Classes run for children and adults at a church hall in Wimbledon, and beginners are welcome, as are practitioners from other dojos. The branch is led by Kyoshi Damian Asling, a direct student of the founder, Kancho Ino Maquirang, with a competitive background in Seido Juku karate. Instructors are DBS checked, safeguarding trained and insured. The club emphasises safety, etiquette and gradual progression, and members can take part in tournaments and seminars.
