The Dungeon BJJ Consett

The Dungeon BJJ Consett is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu academy based in the Old Bank building in Consett, County Durham. Founded in 2015 by black belt Mark Innes, it is part of the Dungeon BJJ Association, whose gyms in Sunderland, Thornaby, Peterlee and Consett train together regularly. The club teaches both gi and no-gi, with beginner-friendly fundamentals, mixed-level classes, drilling, positional sparring, full rounds and open mat for adults, plus separate classes for children. No prior experience, fitness or kit is needed to start. On site there is a weights room and a coffee shop, and parents can watch the kids' sessions. Students also compete at events across the UK and abroad.
