Thetford MMA & BJJ Studio is a small, community-based martial arts club housed in a room within the Charles Burrell Centre. It is home to the Carlson Gracie Norfolk UK Brazilian jiu-jitsu team and the Tsunami Norfolk UK mixed martial arts team. Gi and no-gi grappling sit alongside MMA classes covering pad work, striking and wrestling, with invite-only sparring sessions for those ready for it. Classes are offered for infants, juniors and adults, and there is an MMA fight team. The club trains on a generous area of Olympic-standard judo matting and draws members from across Norfolk and Suffolk, including personnel from nearby air bases. New students can start with a free trial class.
