Embrace The Grind, known to its members as The Church, is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and MMA academy based in a unit on an Ipswich industrial estate. It was founded by Jason Galyean, a second-degree BJJ black belt and former professional MMA fighter, and the black belts on the coaching team trace their lineage to Lee Catlin. The timetable covers gi and no-gi grappling, MMA sparring, boxing and K1 striking, with separate children's jiu-jitsu and wrestling classes. Early-morning and evening sessions suit people fitting training around work. Alongside its combat classes the club runs women's fitness sessions, a holiday club and Band Of Brothers, a men's mental health group built around jiu-jitsu. Beginners of all levels are welcome.
