Brazilian Top Team Palencia

Brazilian Top Team Palencia is a jiu-jitsu academy in St. Augustine, Florida, and a proud affiliate of Brazilian Top Team. Its lineage runs through Marcello Bergo and Murilo Bustamante, tracing back to Carlos Gracie. The academy teaches Brazilian jiu-jitsu in both gi and no-gi, with separate kids and adult classes and private lessons by appointment. The instructors include the owner, a third-degree black belt, and a retired Las Vegas police sergeant who has coached law enforcement, military and professional fighters. All instructors have cleared a background check. The gym moved into a bigger location at the start of 2025 and celebrated five years in business that October. It also hosts open houses and belt promotion events, and new students can start with a free trial week.
