Garami Jiu Jitsu

Garami Jiu Jitsu is a family-oriented Brazilian jiu-jitsu academy in the Fayetteville and Hope Mills area of North Carolina, formerly operating as ZR Team Hope Mills. The name comes from the Japanese word for entwining or getting caught in a hold. The school runs separate kids and adult jiu-jitsu programs, the latter built on what it calls its ECO model of technique, intensity and community, plus an MMA and striking program covering striking, wrestling and movement. A women's class and a lunchtime session that suits homeschooled children have also been mentioned. Reviewers describe a welcoming, clean and well-run gym where beginners train beside experienced competitors, and newcomers can start with a free trial class. It is a registered IBJJF academy with a competition presence.
