Gracie Barra Calgary

Gracie Barra Calgary is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy affiliated with Gracie Barra, the network founded by Master Carlos Gracie Jr. It was started by owners who trained with Gracie Barra in Brazil and opened during the pandemic. It now operates three halls across the city, including this southwest location on Macleod Trail. Classes follow the standardized Gracie Barra curriculum. Adults train in level-based classes, with a competition class, women-only sessions, open mats and a judo offering. Children and teens train in age-based groups, and the club also runs after-school and summer camp programs. Students compete at events such as ADCC Canada, and the kids team has travelled to the Brazilian Kids Championship. The culture centres on brotherhood, integrity and development, in a welcoming, family-friendly setting for all backgrounds.
