Gracie Humaita Columbia

Gracie Humaita Columbia is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy in Columbia, Missouri, and an affiliate of the Gracie Humaita association. It is led by Professor Shawn Woods, a third-degree black belt, and a team of black belt instructors. The academy teaches both gi and no-gi jiu-jitsu, with fundamentals classes for newcomers, all-belt-level sessions, a takedown class and a self-defense curriculum. Children progress through a kids ladder into youth and teen classes, and there are women's-only classes, a competition team and a college program built around university schedules. The facility has a large viewing area for parents and visitors, private changing rooms with showers, and cubby storage. Seasonal kids' camps are also offered, and newcomers can start with a free trial week.
