Northwest Fighting Arts is a long-running martial arts academy in Portland, Oregon, based since 2007 in a roughly 8,000 square foot building with a dedicated mat room. Founded by Sifu Jeff Patterson, it teaches Muay Thai, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Western boxing, MMA, Jeet Kune Do and Eskrima/Kali/Arnis, alongside internal arts such as Tai Chi and Qigong. Its instruction draws on lineages including Rigan Machado and Pedro Sauer in jiu-jitsu and Guro Dan Inosanto in JKD. A kids' program welcomes children ages 4 to 13, and students 14 and older join the general program. Private and group lessons run during the day and evening, and sparring takes place with instructor approval.
