St. Pete Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

St. Pete Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is an active academy in St. Petersburg, Florida, led by head instructor Sean Lynch (4th degree black belt since 2009). The academy offers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in gi and no-gi formats across fundamentals and advanced programs, alongside a dedicated judo and takedowns program taught by Neldo "JR" Angeles, a nationally certified judo coach and 2008 Novice National Judo Champion. Classes run six days a week with specialized programs for beginners (White Belt Workout), women (Women's Intro to Jiu Jitsu), and all levels. Community gatherings include weekly drilling sessions (Study Hall) and open mats (Sunday Funday!). With instructors trained under notable lineage and real-world experience—ranging from UFC-connected coaches to college wrestlers—the academy welcomes visiting practitioners, including BJJ Globetrotters members.
