The Fighting Society is an adult-focused jiu jitsu and wrestling gym in downtown Hillsborough, North Carolina, with the motto "good jiu jitsu. good vibes. good people." It teaches both gi and no-gi grappling in a welcoming, informal culture with no formal bowing, suited to beginners and competitive athletes alike. The gym says it has four in-house black belts, and it hosts seminars with visiting experts plus occasional specialty classes such as Gymnastics for BJJ. Members get a Discord community, and there is a lounge with games, a pool table and a disco ball alongside the mats and fitness equipment. A discounted membership is offered to first responders, and private lessons and personal training are available.
