The MMA Unit Coventry

The MMA Unit Coventry is a mixed martial arts gym on the Cross Road Industrial Estate, run by head coach Dawood. The gym trains fighters who compete on regional MMA and boxing cards, and its social channel regularly promotes fighters from the club stepping into professional bouts. Alongside its competitive side, the gym runs periodic MMA beginners courses aimed at people starting their MMA journey with no prior experience, run in blocks rather than as a single rolling class, and has previously run a beginners course out of a Birmingham location alongside its Coventry base. The community-facing coaching style, paired with an active fight team, makes it a gym for both newcomers wanting a structured introduction to MMA and more serious competitors chasing a fight record.
