Yama Jiu Jitsu

Yama Jiu Jitsu is a dedicated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy in North Devon, offering separate adult, beginner fundamentals and kids programmes. The gym operates from its own dedicated facility, ensuring unlimited mat time without sharing space with other classes. Training covers both gi and no-gi approaches, with a monthly technical theme guiding adult classes that progress through positional work and timed sparring. Fundamentals classes introduce newcomers to essential techniques with both gi and no-gi variations, emphasizing safety and gradual resistance. The academy hosts weekly open mat sessions on Saturdays. Free belt gradings are included with membership, and a two-week trial membership provides an accessible entry point for prospective students.
