AKLCombat is a combat gym in Clapham, south-west London, founded by Amil, a former professional MMA fighter with more than twenty years in boxing and martial arts, and co-founder Sarah. It teaches boxing, Muay Thai and grappling, with technique classes, bag conditioning, controlled sparring and a fight-ready group for those heading towards competition. Young boxers have their own sessions, and strength work sits alongside the combat classes. Complete beginners are welcome, and members are not expected to compete. The gym trained its first students and fighters through 12 Rounds Boxing and now shares a youth club venue, with a tight-knit community that reviewers often praise.
