Ansar Jiu-Jitsu is a community club based in the Al-Ansar Islamic Education Centre in Ilford, training under the motto "Together we are stronger". It teaches Brazilian jiu-jitsu in both gi and no-gi, alongside judo, with separate groups for young children, teens and ladies, a fundamentals class for newcomers and a weekly open mat. The coaching team belongs to the Marco Canha lineage and Fightzone London, tracing back through the Gracie family, while the judo coach is a fifth dan with decades of experience in schools and clubs. The head coach has also led students to competition podium finishes. The club welcomes all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to advanced practitioners.
