BAMA – The Boado Academy of Martial Arts

BAMA is a family-focused martial arts club based in a community hall in Clapham, south London, founded and led by head coach Chris Boado. The programme centres on Muay Thai and boxing, alongside Brazilian jiu-jitsu in both gi and no-gi formats and Jeet Kune Do. Separate children's groups run for different age bands, there are women-only Muay Thai sessions, and technical sparring is reserved for more experienced students. Fundamentals classes help newcomers settle in. The club also offers personal training and tailored self-defence sessions, and has a second hall in Streatham. It regularly hosts Interclub events where members and visitors compete in Muay Thai, K1 and boxing bouts. Reviewers praise the welcoming atmosphere and well-kept equipment.
