Cambridge MMA is a small, coach-led club based at the Victory Dojo on Barnwell Road in Cambridge. It started in 2018 as an MMA club and added submission grappling to its programme in late 2021. Training is split into separate kids' and adults' groups for both MMA and submission grappling, alongside a mixed-age gi Jiu-Jitsu class. The club follows a Kaizen approach of steady, continuous improvement, and newcomers start with a free introductory session before booking classes. Instructors are led by head coach John Boam, with his son Daniel also teaching, and the club says its coaches hold first aid, safeguarding and DBS credentials. Members are registered with BMABA and the club takes part in grappling tournaments and local MMA events.
