EVR1 is a two-location Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy in South Florida (Cooper City and Miami Shores) founded by Marcos Escobar, a 6th-degree black belt from the Carlson Gracie lineage who trained under Nova União. The academy runs age-banded kids and teens classes starting from age 3, alongside adult all-levels instruction. With over 30 years of experience and more than 1,200 students trained, EVR1 emphasizes an accessible, trial-first approach to jiu-jitsu. The school draws on a strong pedigree of international competition and instruction, combining traditional Brazilian lineage with community-focused youth development.
