Fudoshin Jujitsu & Martial Arts

Fudoshin Jujitsu & Martial Arts is a family-run, not-for-profit traditional Japanese Bujutsu school founded in 2003 in Dorchester, expanded to Weymouth from January 2024. The gym teaches jujitsu (including striking, grappling, throwing, and ground fighting), traditional Japanese weapons (Kobudo), and Historical European Martial Arts, with classes for ages 5+. Affiliated to the British Fudoshin Association with lineage tracing to Gunji Koizumi and the Tenjin Shinyo-ryu school - the same lineage as judo's founder Jigoro Kano. Classes operate on a pay-as-you-train model with no membership or grading fees, welcoming visitors from other clubs and offering first sessions free.
