Ikigai Karate
Not managed on Matador yetKarate
Ikigai Karate is a traditional Shotokan karate school that has been running since 2007. Classes in Bermondsey take place in a community hall and cater for children from the age of four as well as teenagers and adults. The programme is split by age and experience, from a young children's group through junior classes to an advanced class for senior kyu grades. Alongside karate, the club teaches kobujutsu, the Okinawan weapons art, and offers tai-chi. Students are graded regularly through the kyu system, and all teachers are DBS checked. The club also runs branches in Cardiff and Caerphilly, and sells martial arts equipment and weapons to its members.
