Koryo Taekwondo Academy is a long-established taekwondo club in central London, founded by Grand Master Ali O. Saraei, an 8th Dan black belt. Training takes place in a school hall near Marylebone and the club welcomes members from young children through to older adults, with separate groups for kids, youths and adults. Adult classes are open to any level, so complete beginners are as welcome as experienced students. Students progress through the belt ranks with regular gradings and take part in annual tournaments and promotions, covering forms, board breaking and sparring. The club also runs dedicated sparring sessions and private lessons, and was a winner of an Active Club Award in 2019. New students can start with a free first lesson.
