Lea Valley Karate Academy is a Wado Ryu karate club founded in 2004 and led by Chief Instructor Sensei Daniel Hollister, a 4th Dan and former senior England international. It runs belt-graded classes across halls in London, Essex and Hertfordshire, covering everything from self-defence to competition karate. The Chingford branch meets in the hall of South Chingford Congregational Church, with separate groups for lower and higher grades under a senior instructor. New students can start with a free trial period, and the club operates a safeguarding code for members. It also works with a local charity supporting families affected by autism and ADHD.
