Maritime Jiu Jitsu is a Halifax gym in the city's North End that brings Brazilian jiu-jitsu, wrestling and striking together under one roof. Both gi and no-gi BJJ are taught, with a dedicated beginner no-gi class, a kids program and regular open mats. Wrestling blends freestyle and Greco-Roman techniques and is led by a long-time national-level coach, while Muay Thai and kickboxing are taught in their own striking classes. A team of black and brown belt instructors leads the mats, and the academy is registered with the IBJJF. Classes are booked online through the gym's schedule, and newcomers can try training before committing. The anchor-style logo nods to the Maritime name.
