Team Carvalho Internacional is a historic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo academy founded in Salvador in 1993 by brothers Edson and Ricardo Carvalho. The gym is the headquarters of an international network spanning 30+ countries. Its founders established the Federação Baiana de Jiu-Jitsu in 1996 under the "Jiu-Jitsu Against Drugs" philosophy. The academy runs programs for kids, youth, adults and competition teams. Based in the Graça neighbourhood, the gym operates extended weekday hours and Saturday mornings.
