The Fellowship is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu and submission grappling school in Pilgrims Hatch, Brentwood, Essex. It is run by head instructor Chris Heerey, who began teaching as a purple belt and went on to open his own training facility. He trained under the late Nick Brooks of Mill Hill and in 2026 was promoted to third-degree black belt at BJJ Summer Week, crediting Brooks's influence. Chris still competes and keeps refining his own techniques, and his teaching focuses on technical, systematic jiu-jitsu built on consistent, effective actions. Alongside its regular classes in jiu-jitsu and submission grappling, the school also offers private lessons.
