Wāhi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu brings professional instruction to New Zealand's Manawatū region. Founded in 2019 by Professor Wahib Salha, originally from Natal, Brazil, the academy is led by five black belts and emphasizes both traditional lineage and modern coaching methods. Programs span children (5–9), teens, and adults, with specialized tracks in fundamentals, women-only sessions, and military/emergency services training. The gym also offers wrestling and judo to complement BJJ technique. As an IBJJF-registered academy affiliated with the New Zealand BJJ Federation, Wāhi hosts tournaments and seminars, welcoming practitioners from across the region.
