Ares East Mesa BJJ Academy is a family-oriented Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school in Mesa, Arizona, affiliated with the Ares BJJ association founded in Brazil and registered with the IBJJF through USBJJF. The academy teaches both gi and no-gi, with fundamentals classes for newcomers, mixed-level sessions for experienced students and women-only classes. Children can start young in a dedicated program for the youngest, and a youth program for older kids feeds an active youth competition team that regularly travels to tournaments. A weekly unstructured open mat gives students extra time to roll. The academy is also an approved Arizona ESA vendor, so eligible families can use scholarship funds, and new students can try a class for free.
