Deptford Boxing Gym is a close-knit boxing and Muay Thai club based in the railway arches of Deptford, South East London. It was founded by local man John Dang, growing from lockdown Zoom sessions and outdoor training in Deptford Park into a permanent indoor gym with a full-size 16ft ring and a strength and conditioning area. Classes run from beginner Fundamentals through to intermediate and advanced sessions, with dedicated sparring, women-only sessions and junior groups for children from the age of six. The coaching team includes a British Muay Thai champion, experienced boxers and martial artists from several backgrounds. Strength and conditioning and yoga for fighters sit alongside the combat classes, and the gym can be hired for interclub shows and fight nights.
