The Commando Temple is an independent strength gym in Deptford, south-east London, founded by former Royal Marine Rob Blair. Alongside its weights floor, calisthenics and military-style conditioning, it runs Temple Fight Club, a community-minded martial arts programme for adults and children. Judo is taught through a British Judo-registered club, with a dedicated kids' group called Mini Monsters and sessions that include no-gi work. Muay Thai and boxing classes cater for mixed abilities, from complete beginners to experienced trainees, with sparring kept optional and controlled. Coaches are qualified, safeguarding and first aid trained, and DBS checked. The full-size judo studio, protective equipment and borrowable gis make it easy to try a class. The club also hosts judo festivals, seminars and strongman events.
