Don Davis Boxing Academy is a volunteer-run community boxing club based at Beaufoy Walk in Kennington, hosted by the Black Prince Trust. Founded by Richard Davis as a tribute to his father Don, a former welterweight who went on to train well-known champions, it aims to help people regain good physical and mental health through boxing. The club welcomes all ages and abilities, with separate groups for youths, juniors and adults, plus one-to-one coaching with the head coach. Volunteer coaches hold England Boxing qualifications alongside first aid and mental health awareness training. The gym has two boxing rings, heavy bags and tear-drop bags, and sparring takes place in the rings, including with other clubs.
