Ground Level is a Murfreesboro, Tennessee academy that pairs a martial arts school with a fitness center under one membership. It teaches Brazilian jiu jitsu in both gi and no-gi, along with judo, Muay Thai and kids' jiu jitsu, plus group fitness and personal training. The jiu jitsu program is an IBJJF-registered academy and grades by performance on the mats rather than by a fixed timeline, while judo instruction follows IJF and USJA standards. Classes include warm-ups, technique, partner drilling and live rolling at a self-selected intensity. The gym grew out of its jiu jitsu roots as members asked for more programs, and it promotes an inclusive culture of 'everybody starts at ground level,' with no hazing or ego-driven training. Beginners are welcome with no experience required.
