Jikan Kai is a traditional Japanese martial arts association in East London, teaching Shito Ryu karate and Dento Nihon jujutsu to children, teenagers and adults. Members who wish to go further can also study classical weapons, including iaido, kenjutsu and kobudo. Classes are led by chief instructor and founder Shihan-dai Jacob Greasley, a disciple of Sei Iwasa, and run in a church hall in Leytonstone. The club is a registered member of the Japanese Budo Association, and students are registered in Japan, with black belt certificates issued from there. It offers free training scholarships for young people, holds social and cultural events through the year, and has given public demonstrations at HYPER JAPAN.
