NGT Combat Base BJJ is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu club in Runcorn that trains in the town's old police station, with sessions held in the former court room. The club represents Combat Base UK and shares its venue with the wider NGT Martial Arts Academy, which also teaches Wing Chun Kung Fu and self-defence. Classes pair technique drilling with live rolling, and the club regularly takes on new starters who want to learn from scratch. Members describe a friendly, ego-free atmosphere suited to all levels and body types, and the team marks its milestones together, from belt promotions to competition medals.
