Sweeney's Boxing is a community-led boxing gym in Lower Clapton, Hackney, founded by local boxer and coach Aron Sweeney. Training centres on technical boxing, with drilling, bag and pad work, alongside fitness-focused circuits. A dedicated beginners class welcomes people with no experience, and supervised, timed sparring is optional and open to members the coaches have approved. The space of over 1,000 sq ft has heavy bags, speed bags, weights and conditioning kit, with showers on site. Personal training, corporate team-building sessions and boxing retreats are also offered. The atmosphere is deliberately friendly rather than intimidating, aimed at people who want real technique without it feeling like boxercise.
