Not managed on Matador yetKarate
The City dojo is the second hall of Hampstead & City Karate Club, which teaches traditional Shotokan karate under the International Shotokan Karate Federation UK. Classes run in a studio at Finsbury Leisure Centre in Islington, and are open to all grades. Adults and children train side by side, with younger members welcome in the weekend session and teenagers also able to join the weekday evening class. The club is led by a chief instructor holding a 4th Dan with ISKF, supported by a team of senior black belts across the club, and its instructors list safeguarding checks and indemnity insurance. Newcomers can request a free trial by email, wear comfortable sportswear and train barefoot, and can buy a suit and belt from the instructor once they commit. Students from other karate associations are asked to bring their grading records.
