Mushin MMA is a martial arts academy on the second floor of a building near Union Square in Manhattan, serving the New York community since 2010. It teaches Brazilian jiu-jitsu, kickboxing and wrestling to adults, teens and kids, with a beginner-friendly intro track and a dedicated women's BJJ program. Instruction comes from a black-belt-led staff with roots in the Renzo Gracie and John Danaher lineages, several of whom compete and medal at IBJJF and masters events. A competition team prepares members for tournaments, and classes lean on positional sparring games and live, objective-based drilling in small groups. The academy is IBJJF-registered, and new students can try a first class through the trial form.
